12/23/13 WHAT A WONDERFUL UNIVERSE
I really enjoy doing things with my grandchildren; playing all kinds of games (board, sports, word puzzles, computer), fishing, boating, studying, singing, eating, rough housing, watching "wideos", playing in the water, making videos, and of course church and Bible study.
But then there is this: sitting around the house, each one quietly doing his own thing, yet, not closing anyone out. In fact, including each other, occasionally reaching out and touching and embracing each other, showing affection, quietly saying, "I love you." I miss those times with my own children, when they were small and we all thought that the sun rose and set in each other.
What a wonderful universe when each individual body follows its own course, yet orbits cooperatively and orderly as a unified system, held in place by the love and wisdom of God. When family loses that harmony, or when people exchange Biblical interdependence for selfish independence, chaos follows.
