01/01/13 JESUS CHANGED HISTORY

01/01/13 JESUS CHANGED HISTORY

Like it or not, the modern calendar was set up on the idea of BC and AD (Before Christ and Anno Domini, Latin for, "Year of Our Lord"). Jesus split history.

It may be Politically Correct and religiously neutral to say CE (Common Era) and BCE (Before the Common Era), but it is not honest.

In the 6th century Dionysius formulated a calendar, which pivots on the birth of Christ (BC and AD), though he miscalculated the time of Christ's birth by a few years. The modern calendar has been adjusted and improved, but our calendar still reflects the Incarnation in Bethlehem.

The use of CE and BCE came along about 1,000 years after the BC and AD designations, but still based on the time of Christ. Remember too, Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and introduced the New Testament. Jesus divides human history, both on earth and in heaven.

So, welcome to 2013, the Year of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
