01/31/13 STAYING IN LINE WITH THE TRUTH

A popular argument against believing the Bible literally is the idea that it was written by mere men.

While there are many powerful proofs against this position, let me just say this at this time. The men who wrote the Bible believed unreservedly in the infallible inspiration of the Scriptures that had been written prior to their own writings.

For instance, Peter believed in the writings of Paul;
Matthew (and other New Testament writers, including Jesus Himself) believed in the writings of Isaiah and the other Old Testament writers;
the Old Testament prophets believed in the writings of Moses.

So, we can either side with those who disbelieve the Bible, or side with the men who wrote the Bible, in fact, side with the One Who revealed the Bible.
