06/21/13 MEN LOVE THEIR SINS...
It is a bad thing for men to disobey God; it is a worse thing for men to love their disobedience to God. I have often seen a person caught in a sin. Shame and guilt caused him to immediately turn from his sin. But, when a person loves his sin, then he defends his sin and resists the Holy Spirit, the word of God and the believer who tells him the truth about his sin and his need to repent, believe, confess and receive Christ. We are living at a time when men love their sins more than we have ever seen. This too is a sign of the times.
Man's Love of Money (vs. 10) and God's Answer (vss. 11-12)..
1 Timothy 6:10-12
(10) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(11) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
(12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

God's Counsel to Believers (vs. 5).
2 Timothy 3:1-5.
(1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
(4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
(5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
