06/27/13 NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN

06/27/13 NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN

A friend posted his concern for the tragic decisions made by the Supreme Court (which I refer to as the supreme court jesters), to rule against the Biblical view of marriage. One of his friends made comment that our ideology has been "dethroned."

I responded by pointing out that the person apparently had not read the end of the Book. I tell you this, because it is becoming more obvious how darkened and ignorant our society is concerning the revelation of God.

The question is not whether God's plan has failed, but whether any men will be faithful to God's plan. Ignorance of revealed truth is one thing. Willful and determined rejection of God's truth is another thing.

I went on to share the reliability of the Bible.

Here is the thing. Bible prophecy has been right throughout history.

Old Testament...
concerning the rise and fall of nations (including Israel and Judah), kingdoms and empires (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome); concerning the return of Israel from exile.

New Testament...
concerning the first coming of Jesus (the time, the place, the circumstances, the events of His birth; His life, ministry, message, opposition, rejection, betrayal, trial, crucifixion, resurrection); concerning the destruction of Jerusalem and the subsequent return of Israel after 1900 years.

Present Day...
concerning the alignment of end time powers against Israel (Russia, Iran, China, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya), and remember, 40 years ago most people in the west could not even tell you where these nations were, and 60 years ago the nation of Israel did not even exist.

Future...
Now, with a track record like this, you would think people would at least consider the promised victory of the Kingdom of God in the end times and God's judgment of all sin and sinners, before the Great White Throne.

But my observation is (as it is said in the Scriptures) that people love darkness rather than light and that men would be ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.
