07/26/13 CONCERNING FAITH
FAITH is essential to a right relationship with God. The Bible says that without FAITH it is impossible to please God, that we are children of God by FAITH, and FAITH is the victory that overcomes the world. With this as a foundation we can see that a person cannot be forgiven without trusting in the death and resurrection of Christ. But, it is just as true that a believer cannot be cleansed from all sin if he does not believe that God will cleanse him. For those who do not believe in the cleansing, purifying grace of God, it is no wonder that you are not delivered from the pollution of sin and overcoming all temptation. Your faith does not give you the victory to overcome the world.

Romans 10:17
(17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:1
(1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6
(6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Salvation Comes Through Faith
John 3:18
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 8:24
(24) I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Ephesians 3:16-19

Hebrews 3:18-19
(18) And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
(19) So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

(38) Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
(39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
1 John 5:4-5
(4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
(5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
