I have had people sit under my preaching for years, and still they resist the claims of Christ, the call of God, the convicting of the Holy Spirit. Regardless of my abilities and anointing, they have not resisted me, they have resisted God. Sadly they think they have won a battle of wills, but actually they have fallen victim to the will of Satan.
If you find you are no longer moved by the passionate pleadings of God or the desperate cry of your pastor, you are dangerously close to losing your soul forever. You need to realize the futility of gaining the whole world but losing your own soul. You need to mourn for your wickedness before you are comforted by His salvation.
The closer you get to God, the more you realize the weight of your sin and shame. Do not rejoice in the absence of God's displeasure. It could be He is about to give you over to a reprobate mind and let you go to hell without any further appeals to you. Remember, you may be cut off suddenly, and that, without remedy.
I beseech you, plead with you, in the place of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Hebrews 3:12-14
(12) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
(13) But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
(14) For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
