Salvation is
not a self improvement program, in fact,
it is not an improvement program at all,
or a reformation program.
Salvation is not concerned with improving a lost man.
It is the miracle work of God to regenerate and transform the inner man, so that he might be saved from all sin, and conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, in this present evil world.
Regeneration (new birth) is the beginning, Purity of Heart (Entire Sanctification) is immediate objective for a new believer, Continued Conformity to the Image of Christ and Abandonment of all Sin is the normal Christian life.
If you ain't growing, you ain't going in the right direction.
