One of the stand out differences between being a follower of New Testament Christianity and the Emergent Movement is that Bible believers accept the idea that man was created in the image of God, while the Emergents keep trying to create God in the image of messed up man.
For those who may not know, The Emergent Movement (the Emerging Church, Emerging Christianity) is the old Modernism and Liberalism dressed in new terminology. In other words, it is another, "another gospel," that Satan is palming off as the true Church. We were warned about it at the beginning of the Church age, almost two thousand years ago.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4
(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
(4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
I would love to lead a seminar that exposes the fallacy of, the other Jesus, the other Spirit and the other gospel.
