11/23/13 LET'S CHAT
(This is just a story, probably true hundreds of times a day, but still, this is just a story.)
A couple of young people bumped into each other at the Food Court in the Mall. As one was headed to a table the other one said, "Do you want to chat over lunch?"
The first young person said, "Yes."
They sat at the same table, took out their smartphones, ate their food and chatted, but never said a word.
When they were finished, they stood up, put their phones in their pockets, picked up their trays and packages, looked and each other and said, "It was nice chatting with you."
And to think, some people say that social media has had a negative impact on interpersonal relationships.
