12/03/13 TWO TRUTHS WORTH HEARING AGAIN

12/03/13 TWO TRUTHS WORTH HEARING AGAIN

#1 Children Born With Sinful Nature
The Scriptures explain, and the nature and behavior of children confirm the fact, that all of us are born with sinful natures. But where sin did abound, grace did much more abound. God has provided atonement for little children, all little children, all over the world, until they become answerable before God; at which time they must personally decide to believe on Christ for salvation, confess their sins and repent (turn from their sins and turn to God, through Christ).

#2 Homelife Forms Children
The home life that children are given will either soften their hearts to the working of the Holy Spirit or it will harden them. Not only should parents provide them with a home life that lifts up Christ (through words and deeds), so that they may come to Him early, they should be given a home life that exemplifies Christian graces in action throughout the extent of their childhood. There is no slack time, time off or vacation time from total commitment for parents. Your momentary breach may result in eternal loss for your children.

As children are taught the way of God, they are more likely to follow the way of God. Mom and dad must be consistent in their attitudes and actions and associations. Every word spoken, every action taken, every attitude displayed, will either lead the children to spiritual purity and maturity or sow the seeds of resistance and rebellion.

If you want your children to become smart mouthed, self serving, insensitive people, then teach them by silent acquiescence and shallow action that such a life is acceptable to God. If you want your child to develop true joy, love, sensitivity, faith and humility, then you need to fan the fires of Christianity in you family, until they are consumed by His presence
