12/13/13 BEWARE THE UNCLEAR

12/13/13 BEWARE THE UNCLEAR

Well, people may have personal reasons they do not like me or want me to be their pastor, but it isn't because I don't tell people what I believe and why I believe it. In fact, I am a little chatter box. I guess I share so much because I do not have any beliefs that I am trying to hide, and also because I want other people to find the joy I have found in Biblical truth.

So, even if someone does not agree with my doctrine, at least they will not have to guess as to what it is. Not only am I glad to tell them, I want to tell them why.

1 Peter 3:15
(15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

My point in this post? Be wary of people and groups that do not clearly state their position. It could be that they are not committed to a clear Biblical point of view or it could be that they are deliberately hiding something from you, until they have your drawn into their web.

For instance...
Mormons do not tell you that they believe God the Father was once a man, just as we are and that He became God; or that we as men can become a god, just as He did.

So called, "Jehovah's Witnesses" do not tell you immediately that they believe Jesus did not rise from the dead physically or that they do not believe Christ is the Son of God. But they do believe Jesus was "a god." Hmmm?

Seventh Day Adventists do not tell you that they believe the devil is the sin bearer, that the devil took our sins away, that the devil is the Scapegoat. They don't tell you right away that those who worship on Sunday have taken the Mark of the Beast.

And too many times those who occupy the pulpits of traditionally Bible believing churches do not tell you that they have abandoned the Bible for a new view or an Emergent approach.

Be careful out there, it is a jungle.
