01/12/13 Three Major Assaults On Basic Biblical Beliefs

01/12/13 Three Major Assaults On Basic Biblical Beliefs,
Upon Which This Nation Was Built.

1. If you don't work, you don't eat. This became an enforced code in the 1600's.

2. Freedom to practice Christianity without Government interference. This first clause of the First Amendment was based on and applied to Christianity, not for heathen and pagan religions.

3. Submission of all men, including government leaders, to God's revealed law and order. God appointed government to protect the righteous and punish the wicked. When people resists this order, they are guilty of anarchy and therefore legitimate rulers can take up the sword to stop the oppressors.

Washington D. C. is promoting Socialism and Communism, violating point number 1.
They are denying Christians freedom of religion, violating point number 2.
And they are protecting the wicked and punishing the righteous, violating point number 3.

Furthermore...
#1 Concerning Redistribution of Wealth and Freedom to Obey God...

The attack of the State against these principles does not have to separate us from God. From the beginning of Church history Christians have lived under oppressive regimes, such as; Rome, England, Germany, Soviet Union (Russia), China, Islamic nations, North Korea, for example.

BUT, Christians are the main targets of oppressive regimes. The, No Work, No Eat, concept is a Bible directive. God directs believers to be good stewards of their time, talent and treasures. Socialism and Communism does not simply care for the weak and the poor, it oppresses the hard worker and violates the beliefs of Christians. Remember, redistribution is not only taking from the earners to give to the slackers, it takes from the earners and gives to the ruling class. It takes from the earners and does evil with the revenue, such as murdering the unborn and promoting the wickedness of homosexuality. Chief Justice John Marshall of the US Supreme Court said, "...the power to tax is the power to destroy."

SO, YES, it is possible to be a Christian in an oppressive regime, but I would rather be free, I would rather my family be free. Free to obey Christ, free to raise my family, free to win the lost of all religions to Christ. AND, this country was founded for the express purpose of protecting us from such oppression.

#2 Concerning the Right to Bear Arms...

I am non-violent and I believe in the 2nd Amendment. (You might want to read this to the end or you could misunderstand my position, thank you). Non-Violence is not Pacifism. God has directed Christians to love our enemies and to not be violent. This is clearly the position of the New Testament. However, He has also given the power of the sword of steel to the State, to protect the righteous and punish the wicked, whether militarily or locally. This is why the founding fathers included the Second Amendment and this is why our government has recognized the right of Christians to not kill, even in war. The State and the Church are two separate entities, with two separate directives.

I not only believe in the basic right to bear arms, and the responsibility of the State to provide police and military force, I believe it is Biblical to pay taxes to support the State in its rightful duty of protection and punishment (provided it is not being used to protect the wicked and punish the righteous).

I have been saying for decades, The Second Amendment was not provided for killing squirrels, deer or even two legged rats who are harming your family (though these are included). It was provided to stop oppressive rulers from tyranny.

As it stands, I am concerned that so many are interested in bearing arms, but not bowing knees to Jesus. An armed State and and armed citizenry are both dangerous without submission to Biblical principles. The State does not have to be Christian in order to be legitimate, but it does have to submit to the rule of God.

Even The State Is Obligated To Obey God
Romans 13:1-6

(1) Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
(2) Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
(3) For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
(4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
(5) Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
(6) For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Christians Must Obey God, Even If It Means Disobey The State
Acts 5:29-32

(29) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
(30) The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
(31) Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
(32) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
