Did you hear about the thief who robbed a man, only to find out that his victim had recently been the target of identity theft and had lost his job and could not get another one, was financially ruined, repo guys were taking everything he owned (including his false teeth and toupee), he owed the government thousands of dollars in back taxes, was left by his wife (who ran away with the repo man), could not provide for his children and was about to be thrown into jail for insufficient funds on a check he wrote to his mother's nursing home?
When the robber found out about the man's streak of losses he used his own skills and abilities to promote a benefit and raise ten thousand dollars for the poor man. After the benefit, the "reformed" thief robbed the man and left him injured in a back alley. Now the man owes for ambulance service and accumulating doctors and hospital bills.
Like the fella said, "Cheer up, things could be worse." So he cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse.
NOW, MAYBE YOUR DAY WASN'T SO BAD AFTER ALL.
