One of the things that bothers me is when a person dismisses counsel (especially when it concerns doctrine and Christian behavior) from someone, for whom they should have respect, without asking what the reasons are for the counsel.
In fact, when a person does not care what an established brother/sister thinks, it indicates resistance to truth, not just rejection of one who offers counsel.
