07/22/13 GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

07/22/13 GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

Human "Omniscience"
Just think about it... If commercial entities, the government and anyone else in this digital, online world can know your past, your likes, your relationships, your activities, your secrets, your health, your finances, your habits, your fears and any other personal, private information, simply by using digital tracking and security systems, as well as the prying eyes and wagging tongues of your neighbors, do you really think God does not know every thought, word, deed and attitude that you have.

Divine Omniscience
Remember, God said He will judge us according to our thoughts, words and deeds, unless we turn to Christ for deliverance from sin and God's judgment. The longer you wait, the less likely you are to escape the Great White Throne Judgment.

Here is what the Bible says about the judgment of the unsaved, at the Great White Throne Judgment.

Revelation 20:1-15
(1) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
(2) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
(3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
(4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
(5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
(6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
(7) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
(8) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
(9) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
(10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
(11) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
(12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
(13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
(14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

One of the things that made me think of this today is because the advertisements on my FB margin today reflect my stated interests in recent days. I see things advertised today that I searched out and discussed online with people yesterday. In fact, yesterday, after church, one of our folks said she had gone into a certain store and made a purchase. Within minutes there were ads on her cellphone, related to her recent activity. How much more sophisticated is the ability of God to know our lives, AND , He has the right to know.

According To Our DeedsAnd yes, believers will also be judged according to the way they live their lives. However, Christians, those who live a life of faith in Christ, will not answer for the sins they committed before they became believers, since those sins are atoned for through the life, death and resurrection of Christ. Instead, the judgment of believers will be for the purpose of rewarding them for the service they have rendered to Christ during their life of faith. Judgement of believers will not take place at the Great White Throne.

Romans 2:1-13
(1) Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
(2) But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
(3) And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
(4) Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
(5) But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
(6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
(7) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
(8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
(9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
(10) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
(11) For there is no respect of persons with God.
(12) For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
(13) (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
