I don't believe in Christians whining and crying and complaining when they are having problems. Neither should they be open with everyone about all the personal detail in their lives, as in sharing too much during testimony time. However, it is good for Christians to share their burdens with other believers who are able to encourage them and pray effectually in their behalf.
Sharing your burden will enlist help from other believers. Also, when God sends the answer to the prayer, He gets the glory. If you never share your own burdens and struggles, how does God get the glory?
People refrain, even refuse to share their needs for various reasons. Sometimes it is personal pride; or lack of faith in corporate prayer; or lack of closeness or confidence concerning the other members of the body.
It is sad when people do not have a vital and current and consistent, victorious testimony, and it is sad when people in the body of Christ do not confide, trust, pray with and mutually encourage one another.
People should not be surprised at the gaps in their life when they see how much of their life they live outside of Christian norms. Don't be surprised when there is a lack of miraculous intervention as long as you do not follow the Christian steps of prayer and praise.
