If a person does not read the Bible he will not draw closer to God. Yet a person can read the Bible and still not draw closer to God. But if a person reads the Bible with obedient faith, he will draw closer to God.
If a person does not pray he will not draw closer to God. Yet a person can pray and still not draw closer to God. But if a person prays with obedient faith, he will draw closer to God.
Matthew 12:48-50
(48) But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
(49) And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
(50) For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
