11/14/13 DON'T LET GOOD ROB YOU OF BEST
I shared with a friend recently, "The greatest enemy of that which is best, is that which is good."
Don't let "the good" rob you of "the best." The best is always that which is pleasing to God, even if it takes you through the worst of situations, because, it is only a brief moment of difficulty (or suffering) in the long adventure of victory and glory.
2 Corinthians 4:15-18
(15) For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
(16) For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
(17) For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
(18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
And remember, at its best, the world offers a mirage, smoke and mirrors, pipe dreams and pie in the sky, but Christ offers eternal life, abundant life, life on the highest plane, life with God. So, when the world invites you to enjoy its temporal pleasures, it is robbing you of eternal treasures. Not only does Satan want you to lose the prize God offers you, he wants you to suffer eternal judgment for sin.
