From time to time, especially during special occasions, we remember friends and loved one who were taken from us at an early age, and wonder what wonderful things they would have done, if they had lived. And sometimes we dream about what, "could have been" if a different choice had been made, a certain course had been taken, an errant decision had not been chosen.
Life is filled with, "Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda" moments. But the most heart wrenching thoughts concern the lives spent in the pursuit of the passing, the place in heaven left empty, the wasted opportunities to please God.
But such haunting reflections are also momentary. There will come a time when God will wipe away every tear and somehow remove all sorrow. Though we grieve for the lost today and bewail the lives spent in sin, one day, God will deliver believers from the torment of such thoughts, though the rebellious will never escape the eternal consequences of their rejection of Christ as Lord of their lives.

Revelation 21:2-5
(2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
(3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
