It is not that God does not want His children to be pure and gracious in their relationships with other people, or that He is unable to produce such Christ likeness in a believer.
The problem is, people like to be ugly, mean spirited, haughty, demeaning, condemning and divisive. We will not be what God wants us to be until we surrender our "wanter" into His will.
