01/17/13 NOTICE THIS, THE LOSS OF GOD GETS LESS ATTENTION THAN THE LOSS OF GUNS
The 1st AMENDMENT (written in a Christian based and cultural society) insures (paraphrased),
A- The State shall not make any law establishing religion (no State Church, such as the Church of England, the Lutheran Church),
B- the State shall not prohibit free exercise of religion (within Christian parameters, since certain practices of Hinduism and Islam have always been illegal in this country),
C- freedom of speech,
D- freedom of the press,
E- freedom of assembly, and
F- the right to petition concerning grievances with the government.
THEN, AND ONLY THEN do we have the 2nd AMENDMENT, which recognizes the right of the people to bear arms for protection from oppressive powers.
HELLO.
The Second Amendment was provided to protect the First Amendment. Our country is now embroiled in debate and government action, concerning the impending loss of our Second Amendment, but have "given away the farm" when it comes to the First Amendment.
When this country wakes up in the shackles of oppression, it will not be the loss of the Second Amendment that put us there, it will be the abandonment of the First Amendment.
The right to worship and serve God is going out with less than a whimper, and the right to bear arms is causing a furor. When America turns away from God, all the guns in the world will not save us from oppression.
