01/18/13 WHERE ARE THE SINNING SAINTS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT?
The Bible does expose the moral failures (sins) of believers, such as Abraham's lying, Moses' anger and David's adultery and murder. However, it must be remembered that those were sins from which they also turned, rather than continued to commit.
But what about New Testament believers? Yes, at one point after Pentecost, Peter did give preference to Judaizers, but he was confronted by Paul and was delivered.
But where are the "sinning saints" in the New Testament;
the liars,
the violent,
the adulterers?
They don't exist, because they were saved from their sins. Whenever there was a failure, there was either repentance, or there was apostasy.
Either sin separated people from God or God separated people from sin.
And remember, Romans 7 is solved by Romans 8.
