03/02/13 LIFE, LOVE, AND GOD

03/02/13 LIFE, LOVE, AND GOD

Here is a hidden treasure that is found only in a faith relationship with Christ. I hope all my friends will read this short comment. This is good news to those who have not yet accepted His forgiveness and Lordship. Love y'all.

Life can deal you a losing hand, serve you a rotten plate and then cheat you out of all hope. This can start from the time of conception and increase from early life to end of life. The wrong parents, the wrong society, the wrong race, the wrong place, the wrong time in history, the wrong body, the wrong mate, the wrong children.

Most people want to blame God for these things, when in fact, God has always had a better plan and He promises a perfect outcome, regardless of how wasted the life may have become. The problem is, God has given all men the power of choice and every wrong choice hurts everyone involved, including those who did not create the problems.

So, how do people respond to God's offer of life, forgiveness and eternal hope? Most of them reject it. This is interesting. They spend a lifetime complaining about suffering, inequity, hopelessness, and then when they are offered eternity with God, with joy, with peace, with health, with fullness, with love, they turn it down. In fact, consider this...

If it were not for some of the negative things that happen in life, some opportunities for good things would never take place. How often we have heard people, even people without faith, embrace the terrible things that happened to them because those awful events opened doors of inexplicable fulfillment. God can take the very things that are most repugnant to us and use them in the most redemptive and meaningful ways. Christ's death on the cross is an example of God using the most gruesome and vile acts of evil men, in order to provide His unspeakable goodness and blessing.

Therefore, whoever you are, God has not abandoned you to your own hell and hopelessness. He offers you life, love and even Himself, for now and eternity. Talk to me if you have any questions. Love y'all.
