The problem is not that I want too much Christian and Biblical influence in our government, the problem is that the government wants to remove Christianity and the Bible from our society. My position is Biblical and constitutional, theirs is neither.
Notice the two parts to the first part of the First Amendment.
1- Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion
OR
2- prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
The US Government cannot make any law that establishes a State religion. This is what the founding fathers had fled in Europe; the State Church of England, the State Church of Germany, the State Church of Italy, etc.

Yes, you read this correctly. I said, THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. Freedom of religion was not freedom for Islam or Hinduism or animism or anything that was in conflict with the teachings of Christianity, as found in the Bible.
Here are a couple of examples...
Polygamy is accepted and practiced by Islam. Muslims were not free to practice polygamy in the USA. Likewise, Mormonism actually called polygamy the Eternal Covenant and said it was a command and revelation from the Mormon god. However, the Utah Territory could not become a State in the USA until it made polygamy illegal. AND THEY DID. So much for the revelation, the command and the Eternal Covenant of the Mormon religion.
Burning surviving wives on the funeral pyre. In India, years ago, it was sometimes the practice to burn, alive, the surviving wives of deceased men, on their funeral pyre.
There are many other examples of the beliefs and practices of non Christian religions that would not be allowed in this country, BECAUSE, freedom of religion is not for every religion.
OUR LAWS, our government our documents were based on Christian religion. In fact, our Supreme Court, in 1892, recognized the Christian foundation of this country by stating that the United States is a Christian country.
Freedom for Christians has been under attack by freedom haters and Bible haters for some time. This is why there is confusion among the uneducated masses.
