No, I am not saying that science is always wrong, because it is sometimes right. I am saying that the Bible is never wrong.
Science books are constantly being changed because previous scientific information has been proved erroneous, but the Bible has not changed (in spite of misinformation to the contrary). In fact, whenever science has supposedly proved the Bible wrong, time eventually vindicates the Bible. And this is interesting, because, the Bible is not intended to be a textbook on science.
It is true that human DNA plays a major role in what we are physically, but it is also true that our behavior can alter our DNA. I just heard that men who are out of work for an extended period of time actually have changes in their DNA, shortening their lives. I don't know if this finding will be changed in future studies or not. Certainly the psyche of a person impacts his body. Some things we cannot stop from happening, but we are still responsible for relational and moral choices.
Here is an area that I have been telling you about for some time. Some people have claimed that science has proved that a person is a homosexual because of his DNA. I have said (based on other information) that DNA either adapts to or is changed by the lifestyle of the person. Whether the person has rugged or delicate personality type is not the issue. There are some very rugged type men who have chosen to be homosexual and some very delicate men who have not chosen to be homosexual. Homosexuality is not caused by either personality or physicality, it is decided by morality.
The Bible, as the revelation of God, has given do's and don'ts for sexual behavior and affections. Homosexuality is one of the choices that is contrary to the will of God. YES, God loves all of us, but He does not change His moral laws because we don't like them. Don't blame sexual orientation on DNA or any other physical condition. It is a moral and relational choice. Just like any other temptation (whether sexual or not), God will help a person resist, if they put their trust in Him.
