I am not good enough to be saved, but I am saved enough to be good.

Salvation is God working in me, it is not me working my way to God.

This is the Biblical directive and order.

Another Thought...
Two shades of presumption (presumptive sins)...
1. To believe we earn our salvation by our goodness or good works.
2. To believe God saves us without making us good and without producing good works in us and through us.
